Personal Specification and Experience
- A crucial link between our engagement managers, junior staff, and client management. You will lead field audit engagements across various industries, utilizing proprietary audit technology to deliver high-quality assurance engagements. You will manage multiple audit projects from the planning phase all the way through to the final audit report in accordance with International Standards and BDO Audit Methodology. - Lead the planning, execution, and completion of financial statement audits in accordance with international auditing standards.
- Develop effective audit strategies, assess risk areas, and design audit procedures.
- Prepare & review comprehensive audit workpapers, ensuring clear documentation of findings, conclusions, in accordance to BDO audit methodologies.
- Identify complex accounting issues, research technical literature, and propose practical solutions.
- Lead the daily activities of junior auditors on the engagement team, delegating tasks, ensuring timely project delivery.
- Assist managers and senior managers in tracking/managing budgets and billing processes.
- Provide on-site coaching, technical guidance, and constructive feedback whilst recording training needs to foster the growth of junior staff.
- Provide exceptional client service by understanding the client's requirements in and ensuring timely delivery.
- Ensure continuous professional development by updating oneself on local regulations, International Financial Reporting Standards, any changes to audit methodology etc. and discussing any such changes with the clients proactively.
- Building and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, demonstrating deep knowledge of their business operations and industry.
Personal Specification and Experience
- Bachelor’s in accounting, Finance or Related Field
- Active Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA, CPA, ACA, or ACCA)
- 2 - 3 years of Post Qualification Experience including time spent as a Senior auditor or Acting Assistant Manager at a large international accounting firm.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and ISA (knowledge of AOIFI, Commercial Companies Law and other relevant regulations would be an advantage)
- Well versed with various accounting software and applications used by different industry sectors.
